We are excited to announce our 2024 Speaker Series kick off with Jonathan Hayden, Executive Director of the New Mexico Land Conservancy. Jonathan will discuss the history of the New Mexico Land Conservancy, its vision for the future, and the importance of conservation easements in habitat preservation and water conservation in New Mexico.

Jonathan has spent the majority of his career conserving the land and natural heritage that make New Mexico such a captivating place. He was instrumental in establishing the Land of Enchantment Fund in 2022, working with advocates from across the political spectrum to create the state’s first ever dedicated source of conservation funding. He holds a law degree and Master’s of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado, and a Bachelor’s in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin. He joined the New Mexico Land Conservancy as it’s Executive Director in January 2024.
