Assistance Dogs of the West on Community Day

Loading Events

Join us on Community Day for a special event: Assistance Dogs of the West comes to the Garden from 10:00am-12:00pm! They will have trainers with their dogs for demos and discussions about the important work they are doing: training service dogs for a variety of human needs including medical disabilities, PTSD and other therapeutic needs.

For more than 28 years, ADW has trained facility dogs for work in professional group settings from private therapeutic practices, to drug treatment centers, to college campuses, to judicial districts. Wherever they serve, ADW dogs reflect the commitment to fostering compassion as the hallmark of leadership and positive social change. Assistance Dogs of the West’s compassionate training approach facilitates the deepest possible bond between humans and animals, and models best practices in social-relationship interactions.

Come out and meet these special dogs and their trainers. Visitors with service dogs are welcome to attend. This is an open and free event to all dog lovers!

This event is FREE to all SFBG visitors and members.  Registration not required but suggested for a head count.
