Jared Hagood of Lineage Seeds will take us through a journey of everything seeds. The program will begin with an exploration of heritage varieties and their origins regionally and culturally. During the session there will be an explanation of the difference between GMO, hybrid, open-pollinated and heritage seeds. He will also discuss the practical aspects of seed production at various scales from a home gardener to a seed company, including cleaning and storage. Jared’s talk will have an opportunity for discussion and Q&A with the participants.

Jared Hagood is a professional organic seed farmer of 17 years. Much of that time was spent as a field worker living and studying with his teachers. He is founder and farmer of Lineage Seeds based in Northern New Mexico. His company offers a variety of seeds as well as beautiful pots to store them in.
