The Santa Fe Botanical Garden is thrilled to announce its new holiday tradition: La Luz de las Noches which takes place December 21, 2023 through January 1, 2024. (We are closed December 24th and 25th).

We know how many of you loved GLOW, but this new event promises to be more than a beautifully decorated Garden with lights. La Luz de las Noches – “The Light of the Nights” will be 10 nights of  fun for the whole family and include musical performances, live entertainment, sweet treats, warm libations, including a bar for grown ups, and custom made, local art sold in our Visitors Center’s Gift Shop.

Starting on December 21st, we invite you to come stroll the farolito lined Garden pathways where you can grab some Christmas cookies and a warm seasonal drink by the North and South Ramada fire pits. Twinkling holiday lights will lead you to at least two live performers each night and sweet and savory holiday treats are available throughout the Garden (non-alcoholic beverages and snacks are included in the price of admission). The festivities begin each night at 4:30 pm and conclude at 7:30 pm (last admission is at 7:00 pm).

In this inaugural year of La Luz de las Noches, the Garden is pleased to highlight a number of Indigenous performers and artisans in acknowledgment that the land on which the Garden is sited is the ancestral homeland of the Tewa people.

Don’t miss our opening weekend-December 21st-23rd, when local distillery and botanical cocktail wizard, As Above So Below will offer a cash bar of wine and craft cocktails, including “La Luz,” our special Garden event signature drink. And as a special treat, award winning Chef Rainbird Taylor (Ohkay Owingeh) and his YaPopup kitchen will be serving his distinctive Indigenous Soul Food that weekend (be sure to bring your credit/debit card – cash is not accepted, except for tips).

And we’ll have an exceptional musical lineup that weekend! Young Voices of Santa Fe Opera will greet visitors on Thursday and Senegalese singer Sidibe will perform in the Amphitheater tent. On Friday- Rachel Kelli, Violin Queen, performs in the Pavilion with Lightening Boy – ShanDien LaRance & Edwin Felter in the Amphitheater tent; Saturday- Vicente Griego + Revozo Flamenco dance in the Amphitheater tent and Los Ninos de Santa Fe perform in the Pavilion.

When you come, don’t forget to stop by the Garden’s Visitor Center/Gift Shop to shop for those last-minute holiday gifts where we will be featuring different local and Indigenous artists each night. (a valid ticket is required for admission to the Visitor Center/Gift Shop) (click here for a nightly schedule and list of performers and artists).

Psssttt … it’s a secret – Santa will be making a special appearance in the Henricksen Pavilion for one night only – Thursday, December 21, 5:00 – 7:00 pm so bring the kids/grandkids!

We highly recommend that you purchase your tickets early – La Luz de las Noches will be an experience that you will not want to miss this holiday season! Click here to purchase tickets. And remember, members always receive discounted prices on events.
